Dagney has gotten herself into a mess– which is par for the course for her, especially when it comes to finances. It doesn't matter that she's bright and successful, she's dumb with money. So she gets herself a little side job at her neighborhood theater where she meets Jay, the intense manager.Jay is entirely unlike her– he's working a throw away, slacker kind of job, but endlessly creating– responsible and in control. Dagney finds herself wanting to be similarly controlled by him.Everything Jay does is informed by performance. Even relationships and sex have the feel of theater about them. And Dagney is about to experience a full cast.
