The Wonder

In 1862, a nurse haunted by her past travels from England to a remote Irish village to investigate allegations about a young girl whose religious family claimed she had lived without food for four months. This required placing the girl under surveillance and bringing in an experienced nurse to reveal the secret of the miracle! The observation period passes in an atmosphere of ambiguity, rejection and acceptance, religiosity and atheism between the nurse and the girl, two contradictory personalities who lead each other towards a different fate!
