The Woman Behind the Mask

Meet Rachel S. Daye, the loving mother of seven children, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren She became a newlywed at the ripe age of 76, marrying her "Boaz" as the Lord had promised to make her latter years greater than her former years. Happy and content was she, loving the Lord with all of her heart praying always for others with fervency and zeal. In December of 2007, she met with her doctors who informed her of a malignant tumor lodged behind her esophagus and voice box. Because she was already in stage-four at the discovery of the tumor, the doctors concluded that she should prepare herself to die. NOT SO "I shall live and not die I just got married, and the Lord will heal me " Rachel Fulton declared the word of the Lord and continued to do so through the years of chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and pain. She wore the mask that was required for cancer patients during chemo/radiation treatments, knowing that her faith in Jesus Christ defined her and not the mask. Her declaration of God's unchanging word and belief in His faithful promises caused her to be able to say, "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place". Now living cancer free, it is her sincere desire that the words of this book be a source of encouragement and touches the lives of all those in need of God's miracle working power. Mrs. Daye resides in Newport News, VA with her husband, Alfred Daye.
