The Study of International Relations

This volume is a collection of essays that survey the present state of international relations as an academic field, focusing on some central and controversial theoretical issues. It includes surveys of principal sub-fields, as well as the various approaches to the study of this field in different countries. The book locates and assesses recent developments in the field and provides an overview of a fast-growing area of academic endeavour, aimed at teachers and students of international politics and the social sciences. Hugh C. Dyer and Leon Mangasarian are PhD candidates at the London School of Economics and Political Science and both have been editors of "Millennium: Journal of International Studies".
