The Story of Snow Leopard

The story of Tajik Air's ill-fated Boeing 747SP operation between London, UK, Dushanbe, Tajikistan, Delhi, India and Karachi, Pakistan. The operation was doomed from the beginning and lasted from December 1993 to February 1994. The concept was a brilliant idea that could have been successful had some critical mistakes had not been made. What happened during the three months of operation were stories of adventure, bravery, comedy, intrigue, loyalty and teamwork. The aircraft used in the operation, the aforementioned Boeing 747SP, was named "Snow Leopard" a moderately large cat native to the mountain ranges of Central Asia.
