The Stars That Shine is a folktale about why the sun rises and sets, and why the moon has phases. As this story's genderless sun and moon spend their lives looking for each other, they experience different emotions. This book is a platform for discussion with your child about these emotions. Children may freely see themselves as either the sun or moon or the stars-whichever they identify with-without the confines of gender.
