The Sound of Jazz

The Sound of Jazz is a collection of eleven original piano compositions that reflects the composer's research, personal experience, and artistic perspective on jazz, jazz fusion, and contemporary music. Focusing on form, harmony, rhythm, and tonal colour, the collection explores the relationship between jazz language and elements of Iranian music. A number of the works fall within the realm of jazz fusion and Iranian fusion, drawing on folk melodies and structural elements derived from Iranian musical traditions. Alongside these pieces, the collection includes solo piano works, written within clearly defined harmonic and formal frameworks, some of which allow space for improvisation based on chord progressions.
