The Shaman's Apprentice is the second in a series of a planned three volumes. Alexis Bishop, daughter of a prominent attorney and well-educated lawyer herself, is also the granddaughter of a Native American Medicine man. A new client, Rebecca Martinez, is beaten and dumped near the grounds of a school, in possession of enough cocaine to constitute intent to sell. The penalty will take twenty years of her young life.
