The Regent's Daughter

After her harrowing escape from the Emperor of Shiin's imperial camp, Reila Kailan Hashur continues her arduous journey to Liang to claim the royal title of Regent. With the help of the former Crown Prince of Shiin, a battle-hardened lieutenant, a band of gypsies, and a cast of characters residing in the Liang palace, Reila takes on the responsibility of heading the war efforts. Although fire, death, and destruction plague Liang as the city becomes the epicenter of the war, Reila finds the most troubling development to be the secret voice calling to her, urging her toward the Citadel.
