The Quran as Mushaf

A continuation to Hamdan's monograph Qur'an as Canon, both of them based on his study Mina l-waḥy al-matluww ilā l-muṣḥaf al-mudawwan: muqārabāt muꜤāṣira fī Ꜥilm ar-rasm wa-hiǧā՚ih. English title: From the recited revelation to the written down codex: current approaches in the science of Quranic orthography] (Amman 2019). It covers the process of the Qur'an compilation, the criticism of contemporary scholars against the historical existence of the written Qur'an, its first owners and issues regarding accentuation and punctuation.
