The Pouchenie (with illustrations)

"The Pouchenie of Vladimir Monomakh" by Vladimir Monomakh is a literary monument, admonition, written by the Grand Prince of Kiev Vladimir Monomakh. "The Pouchenie of Vladimir Monomakh" includes the Pouchenie itself, autobiography and Monomakh''s letter to prince Oleg Sviatoslavovich. It is considered, that in fact, from this first secular sermon in Russian literature the tradition of discussing the ethic questions starts. However, "The Pouchenie of Vladimir Monomakh" - is not just a code of everyday moral lessons and pieces of advice, but also the political testament by the Grand Prince.
