Sixteen-year-old Rachel Brandt is trying to make a name for herself on the basketball court and balance the demands of high school: homework, friends, and her boyfriend. She thinks she has everything under control until she stumbles across a photograph of her mother. Raised by her grandparents, all she knows is that her mother disappeared after her father was killed. She begins to ask questions, but nobody in her family will tell her the truth. Can Rachel find the truth underneath all of the lies she's been told?
