The Orthodontic Referral

This book provides an insight to necessity for orthodontic referrals at appropriate period of time. The individual's awareness of malocclusion along with the necessity for orthodontic treatment seems to be different at different ages as observed in orthodontic referrals. Within the practice environment, dentists often face dilemma of deciding at what age to refer for further opinion and possibly treatment. This depends on the problem that has been diagnosed and the dental development of the child along with ideal time for orthodontic treatment, thereby maximizing the benefits of growth. The main objective of this book is to review a thorough literature search on clinical consideration of orthodontic treatment and an appropriate orthodontic referral.
