"Medieval France. On the sunny coast is a fishing village. The wandering adventurer André Hermite comes here at the invitation of servant Lou to meet Christmas with his family. On the eve of the holiday, there is a brutal murder. These lands are under the authority of the Catholic Church: if it is not possible to find the guilty, local residents are threatened by the Inquisition.
