The New Kid at School

The new kid was ugly. Shay was going to make sure she told him so before he tried to tease her about her size. Shay is a bully. She knows it. But it's better than getting picked on and having your feelings hurt. Then she meets the new kid. He wants to play with dolls and practice what he might say in certain situations. This story reminds us of the importance of our words and choosing carefully what we want to say instead of falling into old patterns. It cautions us that adapting a personality will never serve us. We need to embrace who we are and forget the judgment we fear from others.
