The Magic Hour

Spanning two years of work since winning (2015) and judging (2016) the New Zealand Burns Society poetry competition - poet Helen Williford-Lower invites you to share hidden worlds, love laments and dreamtime stories heard only in "The Magic Hour". Alongside Robert Burns, Helen is influenced by the works of Baudelaire, Poe, Laurence Hope, Verlaine, Swinburne, the pre-Raphaelites, the French Symbolists, and other pre-modern era poets.
