What happens if the fires go out? The human race is fast outgrowing the magical world with their technological marvels, and that means they feel it's time for the world to move on from the age of magic. The Agency of the Ordinary was established to find, subjugate, and destroy magical creatures. The only problem is that they have an ice demon hidden in their midst, and she's got her own agenda. Her people have an old score to settle with the fires of the earth and the elves that tend the deep magic. So when the Agency manages to capture a young fire elemental, the ice demon Bianca seizes her chance to get her revenge. And she doesn't care what the consequences might be.
