Amateur dentist, last king of Scotland to speak Gaelic, the most important king in Scottish naval history, King James IV of Scotland was a well rounded king, fascinating in so many ways. His granddaughter was Mary Queen of Scots, arguably the most famous Scots woman ever; his brother in law was the English tyrant, Henry VIII, and his marriage to the English Margaret Tudor resulting in the joining of the two kingdoms. Much is known about James' relatives; this book seeks to tell the story of the man himself.
