Petter and Thea are not only a married couple, but psychotherapists-a psychologist and a psychiatrist, respectively. Between them they treat a number of patients with wide-ranging mental health issues, all the while trying to keep their own lives from becoming trainwrecks in every sense of the word. At times dramatic, at times sad, and much of the time even funny, this novel presents Petter, Thea, and a revolving cast of characters in a series of episodes and sheds a very real and touching light on the lives of patients and doctors alike. This book was written for a wide-reaching audience and will appeal to those who have simply considered therapy, those who have actively engaged in it, and those who struggle daily to overcome traumatized pasts and battles with inner demons that just don't seem to want to be vanquished.
