Whistle-blowers have been in the news for the past decade. Edward Snowden, Chelsea Manning and Julian Assange reveal the methods used to break those who have the courage to speak out about the malfunctions and excesses of our society. Yet these heroes have become pariahs. Their lives are a living hell. Snowden is a refugee in Russia, Assange in an embassy, Manning was in prison, St phanie Gibaud and many others are in a precarious situation, attacked in endless trials and abandoned by governments. Using concrete examples from France and abroad, the author details the lives of some fifty whistleblowers and the reasons why states, politicians, the judiciary, Europe and corporations are out to get them.
