The Graceful Solution

Two very different men come into Briony's life - both are divorced. As far as Briony is concerned, that's a 'no-go' area.The year is 1971. Briony is still grieving when she impulsively books herself onto one of 'Halcyon's Splendid Coach Tours'. Reuben Zimmerman, the charismatic Courier/Driver, takes a pride at being one of the company's more successful drivers. Will this be the tour that ruins his impressive record? Briony quickly discovers that the drama is not only to be found in the surrounding landscape, but also within the confines of the coach itself. Encountering prejudice and friendship in equal measure amongst her fellow passengers, she begins to question and challenge her own feelings and attitudes towards others. Little does she know that the emotional, physical, and most of all, spiritual, challenges she faces on the tour, are only a type of rehearsal for what is to follow upon her return to 'normal' life.
