The geopolitics of renewable energy

The strategic nature of energy supplies has been associated with geopolitical realities since the industrial revolution.Energy issues make and break international alliances, cause armed conflicts and draw political borders in the world. Energy issues are also a source of stability and prosperity of nations or, on the contrary, their instability and decadence.Given the importance of energy issues, it is necessary to carefully analyze the impact and evolution of energy sources. As fossil fuels are less and less available, and more and more coveted, most States are turning to alternative and renewable energy sources, the nature, contours and consequences of which need to be outlined.It is in this perspective that this book is written.
