The First Men in the Moon

The protagonist of the novel because of the events lives after the bankruptcy. He tries to hide in the province and start the new life as the novel writer or the playwright. However, his neighbor is a strange scientist, who invents the antygravitation substance. Having made friends with this funny scientist who sees as praise for his invention the publication of his portrait in the "Scientific Herald", the protagonist tempts the scientist by the perspective of "commercial usage of the invention".
