There is no history specific to the Shiite teachings - these teachings that were established by the Fatimids in Egypt - neither in Arabic, nor in other languages. Although there is evidence of this in general history books, none of the historians attempted to answer vital questions about that era: How did the Fatimids establish and organize their call, and undertake to spread it in mosques, book houses, and palaces? How did they help spread this call by encouraging poets, scholars, and writers, by assigning them state positions, and by rewarding them with gifts? How was the treachery of public affairs entrusted to the Shiites in particular, and preferred in all cases according to the provisions of the Shiite doctrine? How did Egypt''s wealth help the Fatimid caliphs gain the affection of the people, thanks to these connections and the gifts they bestowed on them: clothing, food, and money distributed to them, as was the custom in that era? The author chose this era of Egyptian history, to prove with conclusive evidence what distinguished the aspects of the Fatimid era in Egypt, and he was able to clarify some of the mysterious issues related to that important historical era.
