The Encounters of Makerel

These stories are about a private detective named Makerel Cromton. He is very creative detective who has got success in most of his cases but as he is a very busy person so he is not able to make a record of his great works on a diary. So this work is done by Adamson Stroke who is the lawyer in District court, West Burdwan and best friend of Makerel. Both Makerel and Adamson live in a house in Rupnarayanpur.

In this book the first meeting of Makerel and Adamson is mentioned. Both Makerel and Adamson were from Indian but because of some difficulty their parents shifted to Britain. Everything was going fine but after some time their parents died in a mishappening. Makerel's parents died in a car accident and Adamson's parents died due to an unknown disease. Both Makerel and Adamson were teenagers when their parents died. So Makerel and Adamson returned to India as their relatives were living there.
