Dr. Stephen N. Alapbe graduated Doctor of Psychology Clinical Psychology (Psy.D, magna cum laude) from the California Southern University, Costa Mesa, California. The author also graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Chicago with a master's degree in Psychology concentration Gerontology and a Certification ABA. The author had a Bachelor of Arts Psychology, Webster University St. Louis, MO. The author is a clinician/case manager at one of the behavioral health hospitals, St. Louis, MO. The author's research on "The Impact of Stress on Addiction" serves as a groundwork in writing the book. The author worked in different clinical settings as a psychiatric technician/therapist, habilitation specialist, direct care worker, caseworker, behavior support professional, clinician, and case manager. The experiences gained as a health care provider and clinician worthwhile and interactions with diverse client motivated passion of writing this book. The author impressed by Dr. Linda Salvucci, clinical instructor at California Southern University on the teaching of the course "The Psychology of Stress" motivated interest on doctoral research of addiction and eventually the writing of this book
