The echo of death

Some would call Detective Kevin Fox a legend. Others would call him a drunk. Either way, he has stepped on too many toes over the years to ever reach the top of the promotion ladder. Still, when several dead bodies starts to appear with numbers carved onto their foreheads, panicked administrators know who to call. But what starts out as an ordinary crime investigation soon turns into something altogether more sinister. All evidence points toward Lieutenant Kevin Fox, and soon he is forced to run for his life. Hunted by his own department and a vicious killer, determined to slaughter everybody before the end of the week.
