The Deer

When Little Deer finds out that she is going to be a big sister, she is very excited. Sadly, Baby Deer doesn't make it into the world alive. As the deer family cope with their loss, Little Deer learns to love her baby brother from afar. The Deer is part of The Woodland Family series. This series focuses on adoption, foster care, and other tough themes for children, in a way that is sure to appeal to young readers.
