In the very near future, and quite by chance, two university students are going to stumble on an alternative propulsion system that harnesses gravity. Far from being the panacea science fiction authors would have us believe, its release onto earth society would cause untold harm. Politically and economically, the cheap propulsion system would make all forms of motorised transport redundant, and revolutionise warfare.There's only one thing to do. Remove it from the grasp of everyone who wants it. That means taking it, and everyone who knows of it, into outer space.
