The Burntwood Anthology

The Burntwood Anthology is a collection of six stories of dark fiction from Minnesota Book Award Finalist David Loring Nash (In Wells' Time, Unsolicited Press, 2024). Nash stretches his wings with his first dark fiction collection of six, unflinching short stories. In the Burntwood Anthology, we paddle up North to the fictional town of Wondrous Bluffs, Wisconsin, not far from the banks of the murky and meandering Burntwood River where death claws at those who are deserving. It is a braided narrative of Northwoods horror, eerie introspection, subtle witchcraft, and self-proclaimed kings getting what they deserve. The collection explores topics ranging from hubris and revenge to commentaries on the fluidity of sexuality and dating in the digital age.
