The Body on Karli's Beach

A body washed ashore sends Detective Simon Goodyear and Constable Diana Jackson, searching for its identity and an explanation of how it ended up in Barrettsport. A graffiti artist sending a message with scenes he paints on walls and fences around the town, and a sea captain who beats his wife, confound the investigation. Their search leads to a disgruntled son who operates an illicit drug lab and a heavily armed drug dealer. Demons from Simon's life before he arrived in Barrettsport, and his uncertainty about his ongoing romance with schoolteacher Amelia Craddock, complicate matters.
