The Baroque Pearl

The story takes place in the far west of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, circa 1800. Stephen, the main protagonist, steals treasure from his uncle, who drowned in a violent storm. After the eventful funeral, Stephen, overwhelmed with feelings of guilt and remorse, escapes to the mainland. He begins a new life surrounded by dark mysterious forces. Stephen, filled with passion and desire, is led toward his destiny by the mystical child Lamorna. Finally, the sea Gods take their revenge.
