The Bardos

The bardo is the transitional realm between one life and the next, according to Buddhist teachings. But there are many bardos--and many lives and deaths--within each of our lives. We exist as different people simultaneously as well as sequentially, awash in the fluidity of identity, boundaries, and perception. In this book, the reader accompanies one man as he discovers he has no self but many selves--a lover, a murderer, a dead man, and one not yet born.
