The Adventures of Joe

When Joe moves from the big city to the countryside with his mum and dad, things are a bit strange at first, but before long he is making friends and having exciting adventures. Farmer Dan's farmyard and fields become his new playground, and the animals become his friends. There's Bunny the rabbit, and Millie the Donkey, and all their chums too. In fact, before he knows it, Joe feels right at home. Joan Plastow was born in the late 1920s in Ilford, Essex. In 1953 she met and married her husband whom she's been happily married to ever since. Joan has two sons - Steven and Nicholas - who are both happily married, and four terrific grandchildren. How lucky can you get!
