The protagonist of the dramatic detective story, psychiatrist Viktor Larentz, has a twelve-year-old daughter who disappeared under mysterious circumstances. In four years, having lost hope of returning her, he secludes himself on a small island. But his peace is disturbed by a schizophrenic stranger who sees strange visions: a girl who looks like Victor's daughter appears to her. Larenz wants to know what happened to his little Josefina, so he begins a course of therapy, which gradually turns into a dramatic investigation...
