Marcus Ronnine, a young music genius, who grew up in abject poverty and also struggled with his sexuality, was perfectly murdered at the peak of his career. His rising into stardom was paved by Bettie who fostered him and Rawlard. The disaster cut short the dream of his father, Tomie, who had hoped to be united with his family for the first time at Barbados. However despite thorough search by the police at Youpher's house, the evidence found was insignificant for him to be charged of his murder.
