Commissioned by dOCUMENTA 13 and the Goethe-Institut, Kabul and produced on the occasion of the exhibition at Queens Palace, Bagh-eBabur in Kabul, Afghanistan, June 20 July 19, 2012, the artist book c/o Jolyon 2012 consists of 50 out of 100 found vintage postcards with prewar views of Kassel, painted over with gouache by the artist with contemporary views of the same sites.They were mailed to the former CEO of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture in Kabul, Jolyon Leslie who shares his first name with Tacita Deans father and who due to her grandfathers friendship with writer John Galsworthy, was given it as a middle name
