Sydney Goes to Bat

Sydney wasn't like all the other young girls. She preferred denims and sneakers to dolls and baking. She liked to climb trees and was quite athletic. Her favorite activity was baseball. She practiced each day, perfecting her throw and whacking the ball with the bat. One day, on a picnic with family and friends, the kids heard a league ball game going on in the stadium at the park, and decided to start their own game. Sydney, being a girl and one of the littlest kids, didn't get to go up to bat until the game was almost over and her team was losing. But finally, she gets her chance, and almost strikes out. What happens next is almost unbelievable, even to Sydney.
