Surface integrity of Electric Discharge Machined surface

The surface quality of Electric discharge Machined (EDMed) product is usually evaluated in terms of its surface integrity, which describes the topological, mechanical, metallurgical, and chemical conditions of the surface region. A comprehensive experimental investigation on surface integrity is presented in this book by characterizing the surface with the measurement of residual stresses, altered composition of the machined surface, surface roughness, white layer thickness, heat affected zone, surface morphology, hardness and corrosion resistance.
