Study of Spermatic DNA Fragmentation using the SCD technique

Infertility is a major public health problem. Long considered a purely female problem, research has now shown that male infertility accounts for a third of all cases of couple infertility. There are many causes of male infertility, and sperm DNA fragmentation is considered to be one of the most common. Sperm DNA fragmentation consists of breaks or lesions in the sperm's genetic material. Investigation of male infertility is based on conventional sperm analysis, particularly the spermogram and spermocytogram. However, these do not reflect the integrity of sperm DNA.
