Story of My Totem

The little girl in this story, the youngest in her family, is trying to find her place in the world. In the midst of a Summer filled with swimming, exploration, old-fashioned imaginary play, and the teasing of older siblings, she wakes up one night to a unique experience. Was it just a dream or was what happened on that moon-filled night something more, that helped define a young girl's faith?Originating from the oral tradition of Ms Bodach's ancestry, and illustrated in basic silhouette cutouts, this story is a testimony to a slower and simpler way of life, a celebration of the world of childhood, and a message of connection to our natural surroundings that has nearly been lost to modern, materialistic life today.
