Stories of a Hangman

While traveling across the Wyoming Territory, an executioner recalls the lives he has ended. He weighs their crimes and the use of the death penalty against them. Some of the memories stir confidence in him that justice can be brought to the West, others fill him with doubt. All the while he is haunted by the question of justice and what part he plays in the battle of good and evil on the frontier.
