Stella and Her Spiky Friend

A peculiar pharmacist, Betty Birdington, moves to Berry Bay. Children in particular push her buttons. With her wig askew, she shoos away the too frequent customers from her spic-and-span shop and organises her pens neatly into the pocket of her pharmacists coat.
Stellas pet hedgehog gets hurt and must receive medical help. The girl musters up all her courage and asks the pharmacist for help. Deep down, behind the tough shield, she finds an animal-loving person.
Stellas summer holiday culminates in days-long celebration of her birthday, which ends in a delightful surprise.
