Star of Gray

Taris thought the war was over. After the bitter defeat of the rebellion, Taris Leigh Bodil finds herself toeing the line as first officer on board the stealth space ship Intrepid. It's not exactly what she had in mind, but hey, it beats prison camp. With the Earth World United authority running the planet and the aliens - called the Grays - reduced to a slave race, there isn't much Taris can do anymore except cringe. And drink. Or so she thought. When a gruesome act of terrorism sends a deadly message to Earth's wealthiest United emissary, it's clear that the Grays are no longer silent, no longer submissive. Threats of aggression and retaliation start surfacing, but before Taris can even choose a side her life begins to unravel. Tangled in the start of an intergalactic melee, Taris finds herself fighting for her life. Desperate, she must place her trust in the most unlikely of allies. Friends and enemies, allies and aliens.
