Star of Destiny: The Project

The Earth is crowded, it has suffered from famine, war and climate changes, but the ultimate change is the resurgence of Christianity. Opposing the Fundamentalists of extreme faith is the Rationalist States and Islam. All three major factions have agreed to a World Governing body that wants to send people to colonise an Earth like planet in the Alpha Centaurii system. Maas Retnik, a hard headed Rationalist Engineer is commissioned to build a fleet of Star Ships to carry the colonists on the journey. His project is threatened by war waged by the Imams of Islam on the unbelievers. The fate of the world hinges on the knowledge of a young Arab boy from North Africa and Maas Retnik's ability to persuade his employers to continue with the task. Against this desperate scenario is the struggle of the Morris children to break free from their virtual slavery to Christian Fundamentalist farming family. And to add to the troubles of the Star Reach Project, the evil Evangelist, Alister Korner brings with him a disturbing secret.
