The human race disappears every 60,000 years. It's up to 14-year-old Zachary Stone to put the pieces of the puzzle together and halt this deadly cycle.

Back in BEFORE, a writer named Arthur C. Clark once said, "Two possibilities exist: Either we are alone in the universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying." It's an interesting observation.

And cleverly phrased. Except that the reality turned out to be a whole lot different. I'm talking about the 'equally terrifying part. Mr. Clark couldn't have got it more wrong...
