Spring of Violets...a reading of Arabic novels

The Arabic novel in the new century witnessed an unprecedented spring, represented by the transformations it achieved in language, imagination, themes, forms, visions, and positions. It was influenced by the turning points that Arab society went through in the last three decades, so that we can place its distinctive models between the brackets of the Second Gulf War and the failure of the revolutions. The Arab Spring... The spring of the novel has blossomed with violets the color of sorrow that colors all of society. The novels, with their diverse trends and visions, have formed a beautiful but dark bouquet of violets. All the oppression and sorrow in our reality was reflected in it.
