Sparrow: the lost baby

Private Detective Jack Lamont sees a woman who looks like Jeannie, the fianc e who disappeared from his life years ago. Is it her, or is the woman in the cemetery a look-alike? Lamont follows the woman and her companion, a burly guy in a raincoat with a profile sharpened by a hawk nose. They enter The Sovereign Hotel where a lobby poster has a photo of the woman with the same brown hair, same freckles, same face as Jeannie. The sign says: In Our Lounge. Jae Sparrow. Song Stylist. With help from the owner and waitress at Guido's Bar and Grill in Forest Heights and a former town mistress, Lamont begins to unravel a chilling 18-year-old mystery of whether a newborn baby lived or died in 1940.
