South Carolina Marriage and Death Notices 1852-1859

There are approximately 2,150 names indexed, among them deceased citizens, and marriage notices for newly married couples. Also listed are individuals involved with both groups-ministers, relatives and friends. Among the deceased are seventy-three infants, forty in ages 2-5, and thirty, ages 6-16. Obituaries are compiled for four Revolutionary War Soldiers, who survived into the 1850s, two soldiers of the War of 1812, and three soldiers of the Mexican War.
