In a fantasy village, Basha yearns to marry his girlfriend Jawen, yet her father’s the merchant and he’s just an orphan left on the innkeeper’s doorstep. His adopted brother Oaka and others doubt they belong together, and Jawen's concerned about their chances.

But Basha wants to prove he’s worthy of Jawen’s love and propose to her at the Courtship ritual. However, unbeknownst to them, the town’s plagued by mysterious monsters and assassins with a guardian struggling to protect them. Can Basha and Jawen come together, or does destiny have something else in store?
